I wanted to touch on the whole marketing ploy of giving bonuses for buying through a particular affiliate link, and why I think it is very counter productive with regards to the consumers best interests.
I have been witness to several of these tactics to get people to buy a product through their affiliate link, and why I even offered a bonus, as it totally contradicts my feelings toward practicing such tactics, is just a fact of marketing online. People need value, and with value comes trust, with trust come loyal customers, with loyal customers come long term income, with much relaxation.
The main goal with any business online is to get traffic which in turn builds your lists, which in turn is used to promote future products and services.
It doesn't matter if you are promoting something you came up with or someone else, bottom line is if you don't have traffic, you're not going to be selling anything.
Furthermore, if you don't somewhat adhere to this business model you're probably not going to make a lot of money online, unless you create a product that people need, want, can actually use, and others want to promote. With others promoting your product or service causes what is coined in the marketing world as viral, and the buzz starts to begin with out you lifting one finger.
There was so much buzz about Traffic Secrets 2.0 that they actually had to push back the actual start of the launch by one hour. That's incredible that a few movies, and hundreds of thousands of emails that are promoting your product being sent out to you guessed it a list of loyal hungry customers, can make a product based on getting unprecedented traffic to be pushed back. This was a precautionary measure which probably made the total sales increase dramatically, as they were able to support all the hits, and orders being place.
My to my point, a lot of these visitors were referred to the site by affiliates promoting John's product themselves. A large percentage of these visitors were enticed by an offer to get the affiliates products for free. I don't recall seeing one bonus that would actually help the customer learn Traffic Secrets 2.0. See the problem here, these poor unsuspecting loyal list members are now drilling for a free product just for purchasing Traffic Secrets 2.0.
Now just to get something straight here is the products being given away are products that these marketers are still selling at decent prices. I think it kinda devalues the product being promoted, and the free bonus product. Ask youself this, John went to the trouble of telling people that there were no hidden OTO's(One Time Offers) and that's because the program is worth every pennie without giving something away for free.
My bonus is a free hosting account so you can start implementing your new found knowledge gained from studying Traffic Secrets 2.0. A free hosting account will save you over $100, and allow you the chance to try out different strategies, and technics that require you to have a blog, or squeeze page, or a redirect URL for different types of affiliate or product link forwarding, who knows. I am confident you will need this service, and why not get it for free.
If you're jumping into the internet marketing game, or trying to get started as an affiliate a free hosting account really goes a long way, trust me I know first hand.
Can you see my point with regard to the whole free bonus for purchasing through my link hoopla going on? Do you understand that if you do buy Traffic Secrets 2.0, you are spending good hard earned money for it, and you damn well better use the knowledge you gain to help yourself?
No free bonus product out there is going to help you learn Traffic Secrets 2.0, thats why John Reese isn't giving one away. He was however approached by another marketer to give his product away for free. If it weren't for being one of his best friends, he probably would have told this person to take a hike. He wants you to learn his product period.
That's enough from me about the whole bonus thing. If you haven't visited Traffic Secrets 2.0 yet do it NOW!
Sincerely,
Joshua Needham
