Performing keyword research using Google AdWords Keyword tool

A quick tip for using Google Adwords Keyword Tool from within your AdWords account(if you don't have one click here) and it will also be available from other unnamed sources in the future.

Keep your ear to the ground for that one.

Back to the post,

Google if you haven't noticed is obviously the giant in the search engine department and for good reason, but alot of people don't know everything behind Google, and what else they have to offer you.

I am not going to try and explain ad words or give you a lesson on creating the wonder campaign but I will help explain a simple technique when using the Keyword Tool and understanding somewhat about the information being provided.

A few months ago I decided to do a little research after being inspired by Traffic Secrets which I have posted several different post on the various content delivered through that product. If you want to build out your keyword list with relevant keywords suggested by Google then you will want to use the Keyword Tool. It provides keywords Google looks for when determining relevancy amongst the content and keywords in an article, sales page, information site, or anything else when one is searching for content via Google search.

When trying to determine which keywords you should be targeting and including in your content you'll want to take into consideration the "additional keywords" section after entering in your search term. This section usually contains various keywords that are crucial in satisfying Google's LSI(latent semantic indexing) factor they've built into their search algorithm.

This LSI technique is a good reason you should be taking your time when doing keyword research as it is a heavy factor when trying to rank with Google, and if you pay attention and utilize the Keyword Tool to your advantage and incorporate the "additional keywords" provided then you're sure to strike a great accord with Google bots and have your content rankings increase over time.

This particular website is a case study on what it takes to get some decent rankings within Google search and also how effective Drupal is for creating SEO friendly websites with ease.

There will be more on this topic coming very soon as I have had a decent 6 month period since launching to actually provide good content about this platform and how easy it has been to get those wonderful rankings.

Okay that was just a quick lesson and I am happy to assist anyone who needs the help by simply using the contact form here.

Again thanks for reading.

Sincerely,
Joshua Needham
